The war didn't end after the Lone Wanderer and Brotherhood of Steel defeated the Enclave. Many significant events that took place between 3 and 4. Bethesda made it clear that they wanted to make the series more accessible to all audiences. Their developers had some successful game series under their belts, like The Elder Scrolls, but Fallout was a fan-favorite series. Long-time Fallout fans weren’t sure about the future of the series when Bethesda obtained the franchise.
